SnapRack Modular Painting Station

Introducing SnapRacks, a fully modular 3D printed workstation for miniatures, models, or any other hobby painting. Each section is ordered to fit either 25mm (Vallejo, Reaper, Army Painter), 34mm (Citadel, P3), or 36mm (Tamiya) wells. The 25mm variation includes a secondary 10mm well at the bottom so that those dropper bottles can be stored upside down.

Each section and all the accessories snap together using integrated sockets and small 3D printed snap-fit connectors. One or two connectors will hold the entire workstation together and allow you to slide it around your table, and if you use 4-6 per section, the entire structure is strong enough to be picked up and carried without needing to remove the paints. Clips are sold in inexpensive packs of 10 so be sure to order enough to clip all sections together to your liking.

Sections can be connected side to side, back to front, front to side, whatever you like! Straight sections are ordered in 80mm, 160mm or 240mm widths, and each 80mm of width has 8 34mm wells, 8 36mm wells, or 12 25mm wells. Corners and endcaps are 160mm square and hold 16 34mm wells, 16 36mm wells, or 24 25mm wells. 45 degree corners hold 10 34mm wells, 10 36mm wells, or 13 25mm wells.

Each section can also be ordered without wells, in which case they will have 5mm tall lips around the shelves to hold oddly shaped bottles, glues, and other essentials. Accessories include large and small tool holders, large (3 wide handle brushes) and small (5 small handle brushes) brush racks, a citadel pot holder with lid retainer, and a universal airbrush holder. All of these clip in to the sockets used to clip the rack sections together, and as such can be connected anywhere convenient. A 40mm wide miscellaneous storage unit has a variety of deep and shallow recesses to hold miscellaneous bits like pinning gear, spare blades, brushes, files, knives, etc.

Printed in quality PLA plastic, these trays offer many improvements over similar laser cut MDF trays, including rigidity when moving, no assembly necessary, mix and match paint compatibility and most importantly PLA plastic does not swell or deform if you spill paint or water on it! You can order your SnapRack in Black, White or Gray, but almost any colour is possible upon request, usually at no additional cost!

It also has three small tool holders along the back, two large tool holders on the front, the citadel paint pot holder and airbrush holder. For a combined unit of this size I would recommend at least 20 clips for alignment, or 50 clips if you would like to be able to pick up the unit.
