The Macchi C.205 Veltro was one of Italy‘s finest fighter aircraft of the Second World War. Entering service in 1943, it combined the proven Macchi airframe with the powerful Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine, creating a fast, agile fighter capable of matching many contemporary Allied aircraft. The C.205 served in the defense of Italy and saw combat on multiple fronts during the final years of the war.
